i was playing on picnik.com with some of my photos and i really had fun!

teenagers

have i mentioned that i have 4 teenagers......19, 17, 16 and 15.....

oh and then there is the 11 and 9 year olds, but i am not going to talk about them in this post.

these are the hardest days of my life right now.

everyday there is another argument with another kid - did i mention that i am emotionally e.x.h.a.u.s.t.e.d??? well i am!

frustrated! nothing seems to get resolved - and i am the one who ends up in tears!

these days are very difficult.....! trying to show them the "right" way - i know that they must go out and make their own mistakes, i truly believe that is the best way to learn right from wrong, of course with some guidance!

i wonder if i am too controlling............i wonder if my kids are just spoiled.

in the end, i want them to be happy and responsible adults - that's all i want - - but do i really have to go through all t his aggravation??????

why is it so easy for some families?

ugh! does anyone else go through this?

I'm not going to lie - it takes awhile to make these, but it is worth the time and effort...and mess

A favorite meal that puts smiles on all my kids faces!

Top 10 Reasons

gOsh! I haven't blogged in oVer a month. I got an email today from my friend, we'll call her "TeSsa" she is mad at me for not blogging. Thanks for checking up on me "Tessa".

So this post is dedicated to my dear friend "Tessa". Here are my top 10 reasons why I haven't blogged in over a month.

#10
I coordinated a community service involving 40 hockey players. We adopted four less fortunate families in Detroit for the holidays. We bought them clothes, food and toys. We delivered the items a week before Christmas........by far, my favorite part of the past holiday season.

#9

All of the boys got together to wrap the hundreds of presents that we bought. We were featured on two local Detroit news stations. My son was interviewed....

#8
I made a guest "singing" appearance at my friends birthday party.

can you say "Love Shack"?

#7

That's one big tree I had to decorate! (actually that is a picture of last years tree - oh well, you get the idea ~ right" Tessa"?)

#6

Hockey mom's NEVER miss their son's games.

#5
This hockey Mom does double duty!

#4
My baby turned 9 ~ oh gosh my last time to have a child in the single digits!
(i am getting old)

#3
My oldest was home from college for one month ~ oh gosh I have a kid in college!
(i am getting even older)

#2

Trying to keep up with my household chores!
look how tidy "Tessa"
;)

and the #1

reason why I haven't blogged in over a month..........

I have been taking random pictures in "questionable" neighborhoods.

(taken in Detroit on the side of a building where we picked up meals for Meals on Wheels - nice.

About Me

I have been very happily married to my "kindergarten sweetheart" for 20 years............well we actually didn't start dating until we were in our 20's...... Together we have 6 wonderful children. They are 17, 16, 15, 14, 10 and 8. Although, we have moved around often, I am hopeful that we are now settled back home in Michigan.
